In het Delft van de zeventiende eeuw zijn alle ware kleuren verdwenen en worden vervaardigde kleuren verkocht tegen belachelijk hoge prijzen. Hierdoor zijn de kleuren alleen beschikbaar voor de mensen die het kunnen betalen en wordt de kloof tussen arm en rijk duidelijker zichtbaar dan ooit. Als getuige van wat deze kleurengekte met de samenleving doet, probeert de jonge Jacob de ware kleuren terug te brengen. Hierbij krijgt hij hulp uit onverwachte hoek.

Delfts Grauw is de graphic novel van het verhaal dat in 2018 de Harland Awards gewonnen heeft. Getekend door Bibi van Leeuwen, bekend van de graphic novel ‘Dwaallicht’.

In 17th century Delft all colours have disappeared and fabricated colours are being sold to the highest bidder. Because of this colours are only available to the people who are wealthy enough to pay the price and the difference between the poor and the rich keeps getting bigger. As a witness to all the colour madness young Jacob wants to bring back the true colours in the world. On his mission he gets help from unexpected sides. Will he be able to bring back true colour?
