This book I am writing is very close to my heart, in a different way than you might think. This story started with a thought and a lot of background stress. I felt like life was going by so fast and I never really stood still to just feel. I started thinking about magic and how it felt to me when you, for example, looked at a beautiful sunset. And since I had to write a book for my minor… I thought why not capture this feeling for all to read. To let others feel the magic around them through this story. And so I did…

I was watching the princess diaries the other day and I just felt like drawing a still image from the movie. I always see artists drawing stills to study lighting and composition and I thought: why not giving it a try? It took a around 2 hours to paint this artwork and it was such a vibe watching the movie at the same time. The princess diaries movies are my all time favs. I will always be a princess girly at heart!

I am thrilled to finally have put a video moodboard together for my characters so I can introduce them to you. In a way Elyse is very close to me, always feeling the pressure to succeed in life.

Elyse needs to live up to her family’s expectations, but what if the path laid before her isn’t at all what she deep down wants? Elyse her story is about following your own dreams and maybe even disappointing family. She makes an unexpected friend, falls in love accidentally and revisits her younger self in her memories.

Vergeet-Me-Nietjes & Wilde Rozen (English title is to be decided, right now it translates to ‘Forget-me-nots & wild roses’) is a coming of age novel about finding your true purpose in life and discovering magic in our own realities. It’s set in Vancouver, Canada, in the fall season and is all about the vibes. I like to describe it as Gilmore Girls meets The devil wears Prada.

I am so close to finishing it and it actually scar

I am so close to finishing it and it actually scares me haha. I’ve been working on this book project on and off for the past 4 years. It actually started with my minor Creative Writing where we had to write a book in 6 months. Which is this book, actually. But I never really was satisfied with the book, so I took it upon myself to fix it. And I’ve been procrastinating a lot during this process, too scared to finish this project (because that would mean querying with publishers and agents or self publishing and promoting, etc.). But I feel like I am finally ready to become an author and (self)publish my book.

I am planning to use this account for my books and writing journey as well. I can’t manage multiple accounts haha + I make lots of art for my stories, so it would still be an art account 😊

I've been wanting to open some cheaper commission options, since not everybody is able to afford my prices. So coloured sketches seem like a good option to me! So for that I needed to make some examples, so here is example number 1 haha. I am planning this post in advance, so I am hoping I have already opened my coloured sketch commissions by now haha. ~𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝐿𝑒𝓂𝑜𝓃 𝒪𝓇𝒸𝒽𝒶𝓇𝒹~ "He loved her so much he build her an entire lemon orchard to feel at home in a foreign country, but she left before it was finished."

Hi my loves! Today I want to share my most recent artwork I finished two days ago. I just wanted to draw something with lemons and a temple, so that became the lemon orchard. I added in my character Addilyn in the picture and then I thought of the cutest and most heartbreaking thing.

The sentence above is honestly the best I can describe it for now. My brain is a bit too scattered to summarise this scene without going all over the place. Basically it's about my main characters Addilyn and Sorin and their rekindled love after 10 years. So yeah, this piece is about the moment she sees the orchard for the first time and Sorin having taken care of it this whole time. If it's going to be a real scene, that needs to be seen, but it's something I think is so beautiful, painful and hopeful at the same time. And very aesthetically pleasing haha.

I am thinking of documenting my process of my two books on this account as well. I do have another account for writing, but I feel like I can't manage two separate accounts + I make lots of art for my books. I am in the middle of editing a contemporary book 'Vergeet-me-nietjes & Wilde Rozen' (and I need to translate it to English as well) and in the plotting/prep process of what I call 'Project Addilyn', aka my fantasy novel.
