Another little throwback mermaid piece from last year! This was my longest painting yet, I probably spend around 20 hours on this piece, because I had to paint almost completely over it. I do really love the vibe of this piece! I'm still not sure about her face haha, but I can get over it. I wanted a sleeping beauty inspired mermaid piece, without it being sleeping beauty, if you get what I mean. I wanted the forest, the pink and the animal friends with a serene atmosphere and I feel like I caught the ambiance pretty well!
