Every cover is different and special in their own way. The price depends on a few factors: idea, amount of characters, background difficulty, etc.

Example 1: a cover with just an object or character portrait & simple background (almost everything except full sceneries) would be estimated at €335. 

Example 2: a cover with 2 characters + full background would be estimated at €575

Within the base price you’ll get a wrap-around cover with: cover design + typography and cover layout (placing of synopsis, author photo, blurbs, etc.).

In this package you’ll get: ebook & paperback format, the blank cover artwork and a simple mockup.

3 revisions are included per cover as long as it doesn’t reconstruct the entire image after the sketching phase.

Hardcover case wrap: + €30

Hardcover dust jacket: + €50

I always take between 4-6 weeks to finish a cover design, this all depends on my own schedule and the details of the commission. 

Please keep in mind that I can’t always start your commission right away, this all depends on the waiting list (check the status at the top of this page). However it is possible to reserve a spot for the coming months! 

Rush orders are available when my schedule allows it, please check with me first. A rush order fee will be calculated depending on the given deadline.

The artist will keep all the rights to the illustration created, unless a copyright transfer has taken place (fees will be calculated per project).

The artist can always share the artwork on her socials & website, unless discussed otherwise.

An exclusive commercial licence is included in the price.

Accepted payments are through Paypal and IDEAL and will always be payed in Euro’s (€).

An upfront 50% payment is required after the concept sketches have been delivered. The artist will not continue the commission until the payment has been received. The other 50% will be payed after the illustration has been finalised.

Per September 2nd 2025 I’ve been accepted to the Dutch Small Business scheme Europe (KOR EU), in hopes to make commissioning me easier and more affordable for indie authors & private customers.

What does this mean for me? (EU private clients)

You are exempt from VAT tarifs! A 0% VAT will be added to your quotes and invoices.

EU countries excluded: Spain, Bulgaria, the Netherlands

What does this mean for me as a corporate/business client?

It means I won’t charge VAT tariffs on quotes & invoices, unless your country is excluded from the EU list (see above).

What does this mean for clients outside EU (corporate and private)?

Nothing! As always a 0% VAT tariff will be instated on quotes & invoices.

I’m from the Netherlands and so are you, can I still commission you?

Yes, absolutely! As normal in the Netherlands a 21% VAT (btw) tariff will be instated.

I’m from an excluded country, what do I do?

No worries! You can still commission me, but for your country applies a 21% VAT tariff (according to Dutch laws).

In case of cancellation of a project:

Refunds will be calculated according the amount of work and time the artist has spend on the illustration. 

I want to commission book covers for my series, is there a discount?

Yes, there is! When commissioning multiple covers for the same series you get a 15% discount per cover!

What information do you need to get started?

I mostly need the general idea (and if you don’t have an idea yet, I would be happy to brainstorm with you!) and descriptions of everything that is important (characters, environment, maybe important objects, etc.). I also need the dimensions of your book and preferably the KDP book cover template download. 

How many concepts/drafts will I receive?

It really depends on how broad the spectrum of your idea is. I always make at least 4 concept sketches and won’t mind making a few more when requested. And when multiple concepts need to be explored, I will mostly include a few more.

Do you offer payment plans?

We can always discuss a payment plan that works for you!

What file formats will I get?

PNG, JPEG & PDF (both in spread and front cover only)

Do you handle the printing process or recommend printers?

No, sorry. I am from the Netherlands and have only so many resources and since most of my commissions come from other countries, I sadly cannot handle or recommend printers.
